Vehicles that transition from a hovering mode to forward flight are supported by our autopilots.

We have done countless transitions during our flight testing to now bring you the ability to have a VTOL fixed wing aircraft.

The standard mode of a quad-plane is the basic mode. This is where you have your multirotor (does not have to be a quadrotor exactly) built into a fixed wing aircraft.

The multirotor motors are active to takeoff and land, but once in the air you can transition by turning them off as a horizontal motor takes over to provide the thrust for forward flight of the the fixed wing.

We also support tilt-rotor, where one or more of the multirotor motors will rotate to provide the horizontal thrust for fixed wing flight.

More transitioning modes are still to come, the versatility of the autopilot will result in it being able to be used with most VTOL configurations.

The Transition command is currently provided in a separate Horizon installer, as it requires different firmware and GCS software (Horizon and the VRS Editor for the new fields).
