Does Horizon support automatically downloading satellite imagery?

Yes, Horizon has an Online Maps feature that will download Bing Maps imagery for the area around the UAV location or the GCS location.

To enable this, go to the "Maps" tab in Horizon Settings.

There will be a sub-tab called "Online Maps", select that.

Check the "Enable downloading maps via Bing" option.

The slider at the top of the tab will allow you to change the resolution that the maps are downloaded at. Higher resolutions will give better quality images, but will increase the CPU resources needed to display them, and also increase the time it takes to download them.

Some versions of Horizon require a Bing Maps API key to use this feature. Search online for Bing Maps API Key for instructions on creating a free Bing Maps API key.
